Senior Capstone

I had 2 months to create a piece for my senior class gallery show. Through all the late nights, and getting locked out of school after dark, I was able to create something I can say I am proud of.

Idea

The idea that I thought best represented me was to create a collage of art pieces I created related to certain songs.

My process

I started with very basic materials like cardboard and hot glue in order to fit together similar shapes to create my sculptures.

I first started with my beautiful orca.

Display

I wanted to mimic interior design for the collage of all my pieces. I was heavily inspired by my own bedroom wall covered in albums, so i created this personal environment.

Listen In

I incorporated music into the display which went with my artist's statement about using music, as a part of my past, in my future projects and in future inspiration.
